Introduction
LifeTime is built on the foundation of “Providing entertaining, educational, friendly and inviting experiences of uncompromising quality, to empower everyone to live a healthy and happy life”. No matter which department someone wishes to work in throughout the facility, whether it be operations, concierge, or the Kid's academy, LifeTime’s number one priority is to encourage everyone to live their best life in order to get the most out of it. The Kids Academy is one of the many branches but that does not make this job any less important. Providing kids with a safe, clean, educational, friendly, and fun environment is one of our expectations every single day as it is enforced by all team members and managers. Ana Garrido and Kimberley McGill work together to create schedules, recruit team members, create camp days, and distribute daily corporate.
Kids Academy is meant to organize events day to day and every hour on the hour, whether it be arts and crafts or S.T.E.A.M., (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities, to keep kids entertained and engaged throughout the time that they are in the Kids Academy center. All team members that are hired must go through a system of checks, provided by the manager and assistant manager, to ensure that the people hired are able to uphold the standards that need to be met each day for the children. Kids Academy runs all year round and has different camps, camps can be held on specific holidays, or even all summer long every weekday.
Summer camps, while an all-around fun time, have a lot that needs to be done prior to the summer season. Each day needs to have different activities for the kids to participate in so that each day is not too similar to the previous day. Field trips are also scheduled to happen every Friday, one Friday is an in-house field trip and the following Friday would be a field trip to somewhere else in the area. Parents can pay weekly for kids or daily, depending on how long they wish to keep their kids in camp, and all payments go through our central payment center that the manager of the Kids Academy and the general manager of the Florham Park location monitor.
There are a lot of factors that go into preparing and coordinating events daily for kids that allow them to look forward to coming into the Kids Academy each day. With the proper team members and coordinators, whether the manager, assistant manager, or the Kids Academy supervisors, they all work together in everything that goes on behind the scenes to orchestrate a smoothly operated center.
